Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, is an infantry style first-person-shooter set for release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Operation Flashpoint, or abbreviated to OFP, will be released across Europe on October 9th 2009 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, respectively.

OFP takes place on a fictional island just off the north coast of Japan, known as Skira. The story behind OFP takes place in the present day, and appreciates the world’s needs for Oil and Gas, and so happens that Skira has unquantifiable amounts of these precious resources, which the Russians and the Chinese are fighting over. Incidentally, the U.S Marines have been called into action and tasked with fighting alongside the Russians to regain control of the island.

As for game play, OFP is expected to be Open World. Players decide which missions they take and in what order, as well as deciding on what weapons and gadgets to take into the fight with them.

OFP will have jump-in and drop-out co-op, and will have an online multiplayer variant, however, no specifics on game types or player limits have been confirmed.
